Calle Victoria
This week thirty watercolours of Granada by me, which have recently been framed, will be on display and for sale at the Galeria de Arte Van Gogh in the city. The gallery is located along the Carrera del Genil opposite El Corte Inglés. They can be viewed there until after Christmas.
Calle Victoria, Albaicin, Granada
A watercolour of Calle Victoria, Granada painted in May 2011. This street leads up through the Albaicin from the Rio Darro and looking back there is a good view of the Alhambra which you can see in the background.

Plaza Bib-Rambla with flowers
A watercolour of the Plaza Bib-Rambla, Granada painted in May 2011. I included the flowers of one of the stalls in the square in the foreground because I wanted to evoke the colours and freshness of spring.

Santa Ana and the Plaza Nueva
Another watercolour of the Plaza Nueva and Santa Ana church. Painted in May 2011 the trees are now in full leaf and the tourists are here. I have painted this view several times because it is a popular image but although the buildings do not change the light and colour is always different.

Rio Darro
This watercolour is of the Rio Darro which separates the Alhambra Hill from the Albaicin in Granada. I produced several paintings of the buildings and cobbled streets along here over the winter. This painting, which I have just completed, illustrates the exuberance of the vegetation now spring his here.

Plaza Bib-Rambla
This a watercolour of Plaza Bib-Rambla in the centre of Granada painted this week. I have used a slightly freer style for this painting as I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the square and not get bogged down with too much detail in the architecture.
